Speech Sounds
Cara has a very creative approach to her speech and language therapy. She curates each session to not only meet the therapy needs of the child, but also to their personality. She gets to understand what motivates your child, how to keep their interest, how to gain their attention and then she evolves each session to inspire them. Whether she is using props or games to keep their attention, her calm but playful approach makes the sessions fun and ensures my daughter looks forward to her next visit. My daughter's confidence has really grown through her session's with Cara and having worked with other SLT professionals throughout this process, none have shown the same level of care and detail that Cara has.
Early Language
I highly recommend Cara who has worked with my son on his speech and language skills. Despite the short duration, her impact has been remarkable. Her expertise and dedication have significantly improved my son's communication skills. We are truly grateful for Cara.
Autism and Language Development
Cara has had such a noticeable impact on our son which has meant a massive impact on our whole family. Through Cara’s skills as a SALT and natural empathy for our sons needs we have seen the most improvement since working with Cara and not just in his speech but in his confidence and happiness which is just amazing for us as parents to see. Our son is autistic and one of the things we love about Cara is she gets that a specific approach is needed, that is something other professional don’t seem to understand and it can be very frustrating. She has transitioned with our son from home lessons to starting reception and we are so excited for the future!
Reluctant Talker and Speech Sounds
Cara has been working with F for a few months, both at home and nursery, and the progress we’ve seen has been incredible. F was very reluctant to talk to anyone he didn’t know well and it was very difficult to understand a lot of what he did say. With Cara’s support, he has not only grown in confidence, but his speech has also improved and everyone can understand what he says- there are full on conversations happening now! We are indebted to Cara for the difference she has made to our cheeky, chatty boy and would highly recommend her for anyone whose child needs some support.
Written Programme / Targets
The written programme was clear and easy for us to use at home, as well as the nursery staff. Cara gave us next steps in between sessions so that we always had new activities to try.
